Agnieszka SidorAuxiliary Nurse
Agnes started working for Donaldson’s Vets in September 2011 after achieving Bachelor degree in Animal Science (2009) and Masters degree in Animal Husbandry majoring in Industrial Feed and Premix Production (2010) at Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Poland). Parasitology, cytology and haematology particularly interest her, but thoroughly enjoy all aspects of her job. She is very passionate about animal care.When not working, she enjoys photography and being active outdoors, whether trekking, running or walking her dog Daisy.
Andrew Arnold BVMS BSc MRCVSVeterinary Surgeon / Director
Andrew graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2005 having previously completed a degree in Biochemistry at Liverpool and spent a year working in this field. He started work straight away at Donaldson’s, having spent many years previously seeing practice at the Maple Street surgery. Andrew became a Director in 2016 and is lead vet at the Mirfield branch.Andrew enjoys the variety of mixed practice, an interest from having owned a range of animals whilst growing up. He still maintains a small ‘flock’ of sheep. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys skiing, the occasional round of golf (if the sun is shining) and walking Martha (whether the sun is shining or not).
Ashleigh SteeleVeterinary Nurse
Ashleigh started her work experience once a week when she was in year 10 at school and was offered a job as an Auxiliary Nurse a few years later. She has worked with us ever since and is part of the Animal Rehabilitation Centre team.Out of work Ashleigh enjoys walking her 2 dogs and gym activities.
Chloe JonesAuxiliary Nurse
Chloe has worked at Donaldson’s since 2014 as an Auxiliary Nurse. She had previously seen work experience as a student and was offered a job soon after. Chloe has a huge passion for animals and their welfare and is hoping to start her full nurse training in the future. She has 3 gun dogs of her own, which she loves to train and compete with.
Liz has been part of the Donaldson's team since 1971. She started at the Maple Street surgery as a kennel maid, but after several years she took on the administration role for the practice. When the Mirfield surgery was opened in 2005 Liz moved over as the receptionist where she has been ever since. Liz especially enjoys the face to face time with the pets and their owners that come into the practice.She owns 3 rescue cats called Chloe, Oscar and Barney.In her spare time Liz enjoys reading and socialising with friends and family.
Olivia Walker-Hall BVetMed MRCVSVeterinary Surgeon
Olivia studied veterinary medicine at the Royal Veterinary College in London and graduated in 2016. She then travelled in Thailand before starting at Donaldson's Vets in September. Olivia enjoys travelling and the occasional skiing holiday! She is currently based at both the Birchencliffe and Mirfield surgeries.
Sarah EmmottSenior Veterinary Nurse
Sarah came to work at Donaldson's Vets straight from leaving school in 2000 when the Birchencliffe branch was originally built. She moved to the Maple Street hospital in 2003 became a Veterinary Nurse in 2005. She then passed her DipAVN (SA) and Degree in Clinical Veterinary Nursing in 2011. After a short stint as both a branch holiday-cover nurse, an assistant senior nurse at Maple Street as well as an assessor for student nurses, Sarah is currently working at the Mirfield surgery filling in for maternity leave.At home on her husband's dairy farm, Sarah is kept busy with 'Myrtle' her Miniature Pinscher, a collection of 25 hens (and climbing) and the farm collies as well as helping out occasionally at milking time!
