Andrew Arnold BVMS BSc MRCVSVeterinary Surgeon / Director
Andrew graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2005 having previously completed a degree in Biochemistry at Liverpool and spent a year working in this field. He started work straight away at Donaldson’s, having spent many years previously seeing practice at the Maple Street surgery. Andrew became a Director in 2016 and is lead vet at the Mirfield branch.Andrew enjoys the variety of mixed practice, an interest from having owned a range of animals whilst growing up. He still maintains a small ‘flock’ of sheep. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys skiing, the occasional round of golf (if the sun is shining) and walking Martha (whether the sun is shining or not).
Annerley SpiersAuxiliary Nurse
Annerley started working at Donaldsons Vets in November 2017. She has gained a lot of experience working with a wide range of animals, especially in the equine field. She has achieved several certificates including horse management, road safety and first aid. Annerley has always been passionate about animals having been around them from a young age and feel like becoming a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse is the perfect career for her.
Elizabeth RadunovicSenior Receptionist
Liz has been part of the Donaldson's team since 1971. She started at the Maple Street surgery as a kennel maid, but after several years she took on the administration role for the practice. When the Mirfield surgery was opened in 2005 Liz moved over as the receptionist where she has been ever since. Liz especially enjoys the face to face time with the pets and their owners that come into the practice.She owns 3 rescue cats called Chloe, Oscar and Barney and in her spare time she enjoys reading and socialising with friends and family.
Elizabeth Lamb BVSc MRCVSVeterinary Surgeon
Lizzie joined the Donaldson’s team in August 2018 after graduating from the University of Bristol with a degree in Veterinary Science. Prior to joining the team, Lizzie had seen practice at Donaldson’s for many years, starting as a school student on work experience when she was 14.Lizzie enjoys all aspects of mixed practice and the variety it brings but has a particular interest in emergency and critical care medicine.Outside of work Lizzie enjoys swimming, baking and spending time with family and friends.
Emma Mitchell RVNVeterinary Nurse
Emma StephensonSenior Receptionist
Emma has worked part time as a receptionist at the Donaldson’s Vets Mirfield Surgery since September 2012. She previously worked in the food industry after she qualified for a BSc in Agri-Food Production with Marketing and Management Degree at Harper Adams University College. She owns numerous farm animals including pigs and chickens, as well as having two horses which she enjoys competing when she gets the time.
Georgia Hawksworth RVNVeterinary Nurse
With a background in animal health and welfare, Georgia has been part of theDonaldsons Team since 2015 and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2017.Georgia enjoys all aspects of nursing with a particular interest in radiography,anaesthesia and geriatric care. She can also be found running weight clinics fromour Mirfield branch. Outside of work Georgia enjoys property renovation and walkingwith her dog Ted.
Libby WhitelyTrainee Veterinary Nurse
Libby started work at Donaldson's Vets Mirfield on the 16th July 2018, Libby is brought from a farming background and loves to be around animals. Libby is excited about her future of been a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and can't wait to start her training as Veterinary Nurse. In her spare time she is out on the farm helping out and looking after all of the farm animals. Most weekends Libby is out competing with her horse "Sam" and walking her two Border Collies
Sarah Emmott RVNSenior Veterinary Nurse
Sarah came to work at Donaldson's Vets straight from leaving school in 2000 when theBirchencliffe branch was originally built. She moved to the Maple Street hospital in 2003 andqualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005. She then passed her DipAVN (SA) and Deqree in ClinicalVeterinary Nursing in 2011. Sarah has filled many roles within the practice including being abranch holiday-cover nurse, an assistant senior nurse at Maple Street as well as an assessor forstudent nurses, and doing some maternity cover at the Mirfield branch. Sarah has worked since2015 at the Mirfield surgery, and became senior nurse there in 2017. She has an interest in allsurgery especially orthopaedics and instrumentation. At home on her husband's dairy farm, Sarahis kept busy with 'Myrtle' her Miniature Pinscher,a collection of 25 hens (and climbing) and thefarm collies as well as helping out occasionally at milking time with the herd of pedigree Jerseycows!
